Heroin Addiction and Related Clinical Problems

The official journal of EUROPAD.

A peer review journal which publishes research reports, proposals and letters not under consideration for publication elsewhere. It has a current readership of 1000.

The EUROPAD Conference

Every two years the Association organises a conference in a major European centre. The most recent of these attracted 500 delegates, an impressive collection of international speakers and a wide range of original papers.

The EUROPAD Italian Conference

The association arranges a regular 'Italian Conference' in alternate years to the main conference.

The Europad "Chimera" Award

The society makes an award to individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the effective treatment of drug addiction in general and heroin addiction in particular.

EUROPAD and the American Association for the Treatment of Opioid Dependence (AATOD) -
formerly the American Methadone Association

At each AATOD conference EUROPAD has its own one day seminar where European papers are presented.

Links with Other International Organisations

As well as strong links with AATOD, EUROPAD has particularly good relations with the Australian Professional Society for Addiction (APSAD). This and other links are currently being developed further.

The EUROPAD Network

EUROPAD aims to encourage communication and co-operation among individuals and organizations working in opiate addiction. The EUROPAD network is being developed as a comprehensive list of European organizations and institutions together with major international and world groups.
